The plant produces ferrosilicon of various types. The volume of production is more than 500,000 tons per year, which is about 29% of the total production of ferrosilicon in Russia.
"Kuznetsk Ferroalloys" JSC produces ferrosilicon of FS75, FS70, FS65, and FS45 grades. The enterprise has developed a technology for the production of ferrosilicon with an especially low carbon content, which is becoming more and more in demand abroad.
The existing technology for fractionation of ferrosilicon allowso producing finished products of more than 10 commercial fractions that meet any requirements of both Russian and foreign consumers.
The company also produces a unique product - compact microsilica, which has found wide application in the construction industry for the production of new generation concrete.
Slag from ferrosilicon production is another type of marketable product. The plant has recently launched the production of a material retained when crushing ferrosilicon. Thus, almost all production wastes have been converted into commercial products.
Currently, the company successfully supplies its products to more than thirty countries of the world, including Japan, India, Korea, and the countries of the Middle East, South and Central America. All products are certified and meet international quality standards.
The "Kuznetsk Ferroalloys" JSC operates at several production sites. In addition to the plant in Novokuznetsk, the enterprise includes:
- the Yurga Ferroalloy Plant, with four furnace units, modern gas cleaning complexes, and three induction furnaces for the processing of ferrosilicon fines.
- "Antonovskoe Ore Administration", its own raw material base. Antonovskoye deposit, one of the largest quartzite deposits in Russia producing about 3 million tons of raw quartzite annually, which is more than 1 million tons of marketable products.
The priority directions of the "Kuznetsk Ferroalloys"'s development are modernization and technical re-equipment of production facilities using the best available technologies.
The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation has twice recognized the "Kuznetsk Ferroalloys" as the "Best Russian Exporter". The plant was twice awarded with diplomas of the "Energy Saving" international exhibition. The "Peter the Great Badge of Honor" Order, awarded in 2003 by the "Best Managers of the New Era" Foundation, has become a public recognition of the outstanding merits of the enterprise.
In 2007 and 2008, the plant was recognized as a laureate of the VI and VII All-Russian competition "Russian organization of high social efficiency". In 2012, the company was awarded the 3rd place in the competition "Best Investor of the Year in the Kemerovo Region". In 2013, the plant was awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Kemerovo Region Administration Board for winning the regional stage of the All-Russian Competition "Russian Enterprise of High Social Efficiency" in the nomination "For the Development of Social Partnership at Industrial Organizations". In 2017, the plant's staff was awarded with the Order of Honor of Kuzbass, the Russian President's Gratitude "For high performance in production activities and long-term conscientious work." At the end of 2020, "Kuznetsk Ferroalloys" JSC was awarded a commemorative medal "75 years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" by the Russian organizing committee "Victory", headed by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
The products of the plant are known in more than 30 countries of the world: the company supplies metal to all continents of the world, except for Antarctica.
Social policy
Since 2004, the enterprise has annually signed an agreement on social and economic cooperation with the board of the Kemerovo Region Administration - the Government of Kuzbass. Every year, the projects that are important for the city and the region are implemented with the financial support of "Kuznetsk Ferroalloys" JSC and the direct participation of its team. Under the Agreement, the plant is a sponsor of "Novokuznetsk" football club and "Metallurg" rugby club, and allocates funds for the implementation of improvement programs in Novokuznetsk.
