The history of the enterprise dates back to 1964 with the corresponding, at that time, the name of the manufactured products - ZAO "Kuzbasskrovlya". After almost forty years of successful work, by the end of 2002, on the basis of ZAO "Kuzbasskrovlya", a new enterprise, OOO "Kuzbass SCARABEY", was opened. And by April 1, 2003, the capital reconstruction of the plant assets was completed and the production was launched into operation. At that time, the main profile of the company was the manufacture of roofing and insulation materials. During its existence, "Kuzbass SCARABEY" has taken its rightful place in the market for this product in the Kemerovo region. Despite this, three years later the investors made a decision to change the profile of the enterprise, and the roofing cardboard workshop was reconstructed.

Thus, since November 2006, Kuzbass Scarabey has been launching a line for the production of corrugated paper and cardboard for flat layers of corrugated cardboard. Thanks to the experience and qualifications of the company's employees, a unique equipment for the production of paper and cardboard, supplied by the Polish company "Nelba", was installed and launched.

In September 2010, the first stage of equipment modernization was completed, which led to a decrease in gas consumption, energy savings and an increase in the volume of products by 40%. In December 2010, OOO "Kuzbass Scarabey" became a resident of the Kuzbass Technopark. An innovative project for the processing of industrial and domestic waste and the production of high-quality products from waste paper was presented to the expert commission, which received a positive conclusion.

In January 2011, it was decided to start selling products manufactured at the facilities of OOO "Kuzbass Scarabey" through the Paper and Karton trading house. Then, in September of the same year, the second stage of equipment modernization was carried out, which contributed to an increase in productivity by another 25%. For three years, the enterprise has been actively involved in programs for the development of social partnership between enterprises and educational institutions of the city and region, provides assistance and support to veterans of the Great Patriotic War, labor and home front workers. The school of the Gornyak village was taken under the patronage, which is constantly sponsored.

To date, contracts have been signed and shipments are being made throughout the West Siberian Federal District, to neighboring regions and to western markets (Republic of Kazakhstan). An active search for new partners continues. The design capacity of the production is over 25,000 tons of paper and cardboard per year. Twice a month there is a stop for scheduled preventive maintenance and technological maintenance. The manufactured products are cardboard for flat layers of corrugated cardboard and paper for corrugation, which are material of a homogeneous composition, made from crushed waste paper grades MS-5B and MS-6B. Thanks to the professionalism of the company's employees, it became possible not only to process industrial and household waste, but also to produce products comparable in quality to those made from cellulose.

In order to enter new markets, the construction of a new production hall will start in 2017, where a second line of a cardboard cutting machine will be installed, the capacity of which will increase the capacity to 85,000 tons of products per year and expand the existing range. The launch of production on new equipment is scheduled for 2018-2019. This expansion of production will increase the number of employees at the enterprise and provide residents of nearby villages with new jobs. Thus, in a few years, OOO "Kuzbass Scarabey" will be able to take a dominant position and become a leader in the industry.

Currently, the company is implementing a large-scale investment project to expand the production of paper and cardboard from recycled materials - KDM-2 (cardboard making machine). The implementation of the KDM-2 project will create 115 new jobs, increase the volume of production by 4 times to 100 thousand tons, expand the range of products, enter new markets, including world ones. The volume of tax revenues to the budgets of all levels will amount to more than 400 million rubles a year.

"Kuzbass Scarabey" - an anchor resident of the industrial park "Zapadny" (OOO YK "ECOIMPULS" - a conceptual site for the location of enterprises for recycling solid municipal waste). It is a member of the Association of Industrial Parks of Russia, has the status of a large-scale investment project.
