Khimprom

On 21 July 1938, the Kemerovo Nitrogen Fertilizer Plant (now “Khimprom”) produced the first tons of products - ammonia and ammonium nitrate. The plant started operating and became the first chemical enterprise in Western Siberia. During the Great Patriotic War, the Kemerovo Nitrogen Fertilizer Plant expanded the range of products by several times, and production volumes by nine times. About 40% of all defense chemical products was produced at the Kemerovo plant.

In the post-war period, the existing production facilities were reconstructed, and new products appeared. In the next years, new production facilities were built at the enterprise, automation and electronic computers were introduced. Throughout its history, the plant has been manufacturing more than 80 types of chemical products: isooctyl alcohol, chlorobenzene, hydrochloric reactive acid, propylene oxide, "Heptil" rocket fuel additive, choline chloride, chlorocholine chloride, liquid chlorine, propylene glycol, "Tom" brake fluid, "Tosol", "Laprola", and aluminum oxychloride. The high quality of products under the "Khimprom" brand is confirmed by numerous diplomas and awards at exhibitions.

• 1938: the Kemerovo Nitrogen Fertilizer Plant was put into operation
• 1943: chlorine and caustic soda production was launched, the plant was awarded the Order of Lenin
• 1975: the Kemerovo Nitrogen Fertilizer Plant was renamed as Kemerovo Production Association "Khimprom"
• 1983: the enterprise switched to the mass production of the brake fluid "Tom"
• 1994: the production of calcium chloride and antifreeze was launched.
• 1998: The production of auto chemistry products and aluminum oxychloride was launched.
• 2004: "Khimprom" LLC was established, and the first batches of "Laprol" polyesters were produced.
• 2008: the construction of an automated gas boiler house was completed.
• 2011: the heat carrier "Comfort" based on propylene glycol became laureate of the regional competition "The best goods and services of Kuzbass in 2011" and laureate of the competition of the "100 best goods of Russia" Program

Throughout its history, the plant's staff has demonstrated high professionalism and a responsible attitude to business.

Today the plant is actively aimed at increasing the range of products, improving their quality, meeting the need for chemical products, and modernizing equipment; launching production of new items; reducing costs; implementing programs in the field of environmental protection; creating new jobs.
