The machine-building enterprise specializes in the development and production of new road and municipal engineering equipment, and attachments for motor graders and tractors to perform the entire range of works for the maintenance of highways.
- 1965: the plant was established to produce non-standard equipment for the organizations of the USSR Ministry of Heavy Construction.
- 1978: the enterprise specialized in the production of concrete mix supply equipment and hydraulic hammers. Prototypes of various equipment were manufactured as ordered by the USSR Ministry of Housing and Building in the Ural and West Siberian Districts. The major products were concrete pumps. The complex equipment was manufactured under the license of the "STETTER" company (Federative Republic of Germany).
- 1995: the Kemerovo Mechanical Repair Development Plant focused on the production of equipment for the road construction industry and municipal engineering. The enterprise developed more than 20 pieces of equipment for winter and summer maintenance of roads, minor patching and pavement, which were introduced into serial production.
- 1998: the three first DMK-20s were manufactured based on the MAZ-5516-035 chassis with a full set of equipment for winter road maintenance. In the same year, the production of OPAG-2500 front cylindrical dumps and sets of plow-brush equipment for the MTZ, ZTM, and LTZ tractors was launched. The plant launched serial production of plows for cleaning snow behind rigid barriers OBG-2 that could be installed on any brands of motor graders, and the production of dumps for cleaning snow under barriers OT-4 on the basis of MTZ tractors.
- 1999: the serial production of PUMA trailed sweepers, which had no analogues in the Russian machine-building industry, began. The idea of its creation was prompted by analogues of foreign firms, and the ambition to make the most of a municipal vehicle throughout the whole working day.
- 2000: serial production of another machine was launched – the BZ graver for filling seams and cracks in the asphalt concrete pavement with bitumen.
- 2001: the new generation combined road vehicle DMK-40 was released. It was manufactured on the basis of KAMAZ-53229 chassis of increased carrying capacity (14.5 tons) with reinforced frame elements and a 260-horsepower unit. DMK-40 was equipped with quick-detachable equipment for winter and summer road maintenance in any conditions. At the same time, the machine maintained its advantages of a dump truck, and the removing / hitching of equipment took no more than 10-15 minutes.
- 2006: the production of two new universal road vehicles DMK-60 and DMK-50, based on the KAMAZ-53605 dump truck and chassis respectively, was launched. These two new maneuverable vehicles were manufactured based on a two-axle KAMAZ vehicle with a carrying capacity of 11 tons and were equipped with a set of quick-detachable attachments for winter and summer maintenance of highways, city streets and industrial areas. In the same year, the production of two more combined road vehicles Was launched: DMK-70, manufactured on the basis of KAMAZ-65115 dump truck, with a set of attachments for winter road maintenance, and DMK-80 – a KAMAZ-53215 chassis with a set of quick-detachable attachments for winter and summer road maintenance.
- 2014: a new production line was launched: manufacturing garbage trucks (together with the Moscow group of companies "ECOMTECH"). The first model launched into mass production was the EKO-MB18k garbage truck with side loading, designed for mechanized loading, compaction, transportation and unloading of solid household waste. Currently, the range has been expanded with a rear-loading model, a model that uses natural gas (methane) as a fuel, as well as a budget model of a garbage truck. Besides, the company is implementing an investment project to organize the production of road and municipal vehicles running on natural gas (methane).
Today "Kemerovo Mechanical Repair Development Plant" OJSC is a dynamically developing enterprise, faithful to the traditions of quality and reliability, and open to new projects and proposals.
Its production concept is applying the ideas inherent in modern European designs in developing high quality equipment with connection to specially modified vehicles. The high power of the machines in combination with original design solutions provides a good balance of operating and traction characteristics, which entails an increase in productivity and a decrease in material costs.
