In 1955, the Novo-Kemerovskaya Thermal Power Station was separated from the plant and transferred to the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Energy.
In 1975, the Novo-Kemerovo Chemical Plant was transformed into "Azot" Production Union, which in 1993 became an open joint stock company. In 1998 the enterprise became part of the "SIBUR" holding.
In December 2011, "Azot" Kuzbass JSC became a part of the "SDS Azot" company.
Goals and development
The enterprise has an ambitious goal of becoming the leader in efficiency in the Russian chemical industry by 2023. Yet, the three main values on which the its business is built remain unchanged: safety, people, and professionalism.
A production system development service has been created at the plant. Its tasks include developing and implementing measures aimed at the constant search and elimination of losses.
The company is implementing a major construction project of a new complex for the production of nitrogen fertilizers. The plan of the complex includes a number of production units for manufacturing ammonia (with a daily capacity of 2,000 tons) and nitric acid (1,200 tons), the ammonium nitrate solution (1,250 tons), and porous ammonium nitrate (1,000 tons). In addition, the production of urea (2,200 tons per day) and ammonium sulfate nitrate will be launched.
The project of technical re-equipment of the production of mineral fertilizers is being implemented to increase the production of ammonium nitrate by 220,000 tons per year (+ 20% to the current capacity).
Achievements
The enterprise has several times become a laureate of competitions:
- "100 best goods of Kuzbass"
- "Best Brand of Kuzbass"
- "100 best goods of Russia"
- "Leader of the environmental protection in Russia".
Since 2020, the enterprise has been introducing automation of electronic document management and implementing the program “Digitalization of the economy”. The pilot version of the digital twin of the Ammonia-2 workshop was launched. A digital twin is a software analogue of a physical object or process that simulates the technical characteristics and behavior of a real object under interference attacks and the environment. The plans include creating digital twins for all major industries.
Social policy
"Azot" implements an extensive social program for its employees, which includes voluntary medical insurance, partial compensation for meals for all employees, housing programs, spa holidays, support for large families, etc.
