The Siberian Coal Mining Company (SUPK JSC) mines coal at the Chernokaltansky 6, 8, 9 site of the Chernokaltansky coal deposit. Balance reserves amount to more than 29 million tons of T-grade thermal coal.
In parallel, JSC SUPK is carrying out liquidation work on the subsoil section of the closed Koksovaya Mine-2 (Prokopyevsk) and extinguishing an underground endogenous fire recorded in the mine workings in 1973.
The Siberian Coal Mining Company (JSC SUPK) was founded in 2016. Today it is developing several areas of its activity. The main one is coal mining at the Chernokaltansky 6, 8, 9 site of the Chernokaltansky coal deposit. Balance reserves amount to more than 29 million tons of T-grade thermal coal.
In parallel, JSC SUPK successfully continues liquidation work at the Koksovaya Mine-2 subsoil site (Prokopyevsk) and is working to extinguish an underground endogenous fire recorded back in 1973 in the mine workings. The Siberian Coal Mining Company received a license to carry out liquidation work at this site as an encumbrance in 2016.
An important area of the company’s work is social support. This is an agreement with the administration of the Novokuznetsk municipal district, and many social projects that the company is implementing in Novokuznetsk and Osinniki. Since 2019, the Siberian Coal Mining Company is the only supplier of coal for the needs of the Kaltan and Osinnikovsky urban districts at prices recommended by REC, which are significantly lower than market prices. But the company takes part in the bidding, understanding how vitally important it is to provide residents with heat and hot water.
In 2021, SUPK JSC, at its own expense, organized and built a water pipeline in the village of Talzhino, Novokuznetsk municipal district. Previously, for many decades, water in the village was supplied from a local well. In the same year, the local House of Culture was completely renovated, for the first time in 50 years of work: the facade was updated and the auditorium, offices, hall, ceilings, floors, electrical wiring were reconstructed, sewerage and water were installed.
In 2022-2023, the company continues to actively develop the social direction of supporting the territories of its presence, this includes financial assistance for the treatment of children with complex diseases, support for sports clubs (football, boxing, motorsports), the issuance of charitable coal to low-income pensioners and large families of the Novokuznetsk Municipal District, assistance to rural schools in the village of Talzhino station and the village of Atamanovo, renovation of the Kurtukovskaya secondary school, orphanage "Rovesnik" (Novokuznetsk), assistance was repeatedly provided to the animal shelter "Chance for Life" (Novokuznetsk district), support for the federal project of the children's and youth geological movement “Young Geologist”, All-Russian Open Field Olympiad for Young Geologists, etc.
