• 1950s - 1960s: The largest enterprises of the coal, metallurgical and chemical industries were built in Kemerovo Region. The giant enterprises of various industries were established, which became possible only due to a developed and well-organized construction industry.
• Early 1990s: a number of enterprises operate in the region, which still remain leaders in the respective industries.

The major products of the construction industry enterprises are: cement of various brands, reinforced concrete constructions and products, concrete mix, ceramic building bricks, roofing and thermal insulation materials.

Large industrial centers of the construction materials industry are Kemerovo, Novokuznetsk, Topki and Yurga.
